About Me
I am Simone Longhitano, a third-year Management Engineering student at the University of Padua. My academic path has been shaped by two main factors: a passion for numbers and an inner drive to make systems work more efficiently. This combination inspired me to pursue a bachelor's degree in Management Engineering and fuels my motivation to acquire the skills needed to design and implement solutions to real-world problems, integrating quantitative reasoning with qualitative understanding.
Focus: the Energy Sector
The unavoidable future growth in energy demand poses significant challenges for the managers who will guide organizations in a sustainable direction. What draws me to this sector is precisely the complexity that characterizes it: a field where engineering, economic-financial, and strategic dimensions are deeply intertwined, and where developing a solid understanding across all of them feels both necessary and genuinely exciting.
Teamwork, Tech and Creativity
Beyond my academic path, several experiences have played a key role in my personal growth, fueling a constant curiosity and the desire to broaden my skills and perspectives. Scouting, which I practiced from the age of eight to twenty years old, has been a formative experience that taught me the value of collaboration, responsibility and autonomy, as well as a deep respect for people and the environment.
During the first year of my bachelor's degree in Management Engineering, this same curiosity led me to explore web design, a field I had no prior knowledge of, but which intrigued me for its blend of creativity and technology. What began as a personal interest gradually turned into a professional activity that now enables me to design and develop websites for companies and professionals, managing every stage of the process — from understanding client needs to technical development, UX/UI design, and SEO optimization. Furthermore this experience has also allowed me to deepen my knowledge of programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, combining technical precision with aesthetic awareness.
